This is my logo project. This project was for my Interactive design course, where we designed and created a logo to brand ourselves. This project was made for me as a UX Designer to brand myself as I begin to market my skills and do freelance work
For my logo project, I utilized Adobe Illustrator as my main design software. All of the art incorporated into my logo is original and hand-drawn with the paintbrush tool. I imported a reference photo into Illustrator to color match and create a Lily flower, matching my name and brand.
For this project, I made many iterations to explore concepts and create a design with a good composition with structure, hierarchy, and balance. This required an understanding of color and composition, making an easily readable/recognizable design, as well as skills in Illustrator.
During this project, I made many decisions along the way, dealing with the composition and working to combine concepts and simplify my logo for better readability. I wanted to incorporate “UX Design” somewhere into my logo by integrating it within the “y” in my name and had to find the best way to illustrate that. Once I found out the best way to convey this, I worked on refining the proportions of my logo to establish hierarchy and balance.
The details of this project were conveyed very well with a visually stimulating approach with its artistry. Overall, it represents a well-designed composition with structure, hierarchy, and balance, with a color palette that adds to the mood and effectiveness of the concept. It also demonstrates artistry skills within Illustrator.
